What is a Lead Sheet?

A lead sheet is a simplified chart that contains the vocals in the treble clef only, along with the chord changes over top. A lead sheet does not include a scored piano part. A Piano/Vocal chart would contain the lead sheet contents on a separate treble clef above the scored piano part. Most of our charts contain both a Lead Sheet and a separately scored piano part.
