Why is there a 200 song limit in my Pro Subscription?

Here's the short answer:  Pro Access includes up to 200 song selections per year, but those selections are intended to be used throughout the 12-month subscription period rather than all at once. Pacing limits help preserve the value of each chart, support fair royalty distribution, and allow us to continue offering Pro Access at a meaningful discount.

Pro Access is designed to give worship leaders, churches, and ministry teams significant savings on worship resources while also helping PraiseCharts honor the songwriters, artists, and publishers who create the music.

Each active Pro Access subscription includes access to up to 200 songs per year. This is an annual limit, not an immediate download bank intended to be used all at once. The subscription is structured so song selections are used throughout the 12-month subscription period.

Why is the annual limit paced throughout the year?

PraiseCharts works with publishers, songwriters, and artists who entrust us to distribute their content responsibly. The 200-song annual limit, along with other access limits, helps protect the rights of those creators and ensures that the subscription remains sustainable.

Without these safeguards, the full annual allotment could be used in a very short period of time, which would greatly reduce the value assigned to each chart within the subscription. Pro Access is designed and priced as a year-long subscription, not as a one-time bulk download package. Pacing limits help preserve the value of each song selection and allow subscription funds to be fairly allocated across the songs accessed during each royalty payment period.

These limits are part of what allows PraiseCharts to continue offering Pro Access at a meaningful discount while still honoring the creators and publishers whose songs are being used.

Why did I receive a warning or account hold before reaching 200 songs?

The 200-song limit is the annual maximum, but Pro Access also includes shorter-term pacing limits to help distribute song access across the 12-month subscription period. This means your account may receive a warning or temporary hold before reaching 200 songs if a large number of songs are selected in a short period of time.

These limits may include hourly, daily, monthly, and yearly access limits and/or warnings. They are in place to protect against overuse, misuse, or abuse of the subscription and most importantly to help preserve the intended value of each song selection.

A warning or hold does not necessarily mean you have lost your annual song access. In most cases, additional song selections will become available again as the rolling pacing window resets.

Pacing limits may vary based on factors such as:

  • the type of Pro Access subscription
  • the resource type being accessed
  • how long the subscription has been active
  • recent download or access activity
  • catalog or copyright restrictions

What if my church needs more songs right now?

We understand that church music needs can ebb and flow throughout the year, especially around seasons like Easter, Christmas, retreats, camps, or special services.

If you need additional songs before your Pro Access selections become available again, you can still purchase individual charts or use Pro Credits alongside your subscription. Pro Credits provide discounted pricing on additional resources and can be used when you need more songs than your current Pro Access pacing limit allows.

What should I do if I think my account was limited incorrectly?
