What is CCLI (Christian Copyright Licensing International)?

Technically, whenever you make a copy of a copyrighted song, lyrics, or music (including computer, photocopier, projection and recording) you should pay a royalty fee to the copyright owner of that song. Because churches typically deal with hundreds of songs throughout the year and on a weekly basis, administration of these royalty payments can be overwhelming. CCLI was established to simplify this process for you (the user) and the song owners (holding the copyrights). A CCLI membership is very affordable, and requires you to report your song use online during certain reporting periods. CCLI then tabulates song use and pays the copyright owners accordingly out of the collected membership fees. Find out more at CCLI.com
